Summary of Responsibilities:
This role is primarily focused on business development and customer interaction. The Account Manager is responsible for increasing sales, improving margins, penetrating markets, and ensuring customer satisfaction for both existing and new accounts within a specified territory.
Job Duties Include:
- Increase sales of hydraulic components, systems, and service capabilities within designated accounts.
- Identify prospects through cold calling and cultivate relationships to acquire new customers.
- Explore and expand into new markets, acquire new customers, and cover designated geographical areas.
- Complete daily sales activity reports to track progress and opportunities.
- Attend weekly sales meetings in Hatfield, PA for updates and collaboration.
- Manage customer expectations and promptly address any complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Follow up on all account activities to guarantee order accuracy and on-time completion to meet customer expectations. Notify supervisor about critical customer satisfaction issues.
- Attend and actively participate in Vendor and Kenco training sessions as well as sales meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of customer information including contacts, project files, and competitive intelligence.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience in Fluid Power Sales; Fluid Power Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Thorough understanding of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems.
- Basic product knowledge of Pumps, Motors, Valves, and Filtration.
- Strong emphasis on excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and stay motivated, both independently and within a team.
- Efficiently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
