JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will be tasked with completing essential day-to-day accounting functions and may include responsibilities in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger support, account reconciliations and month-end close.  Additional duties often require research and analytical skills related to customer accounts, vendor payments, expense trends, tax/surcharge reporting, and annual audit preparation. 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to handle all accounts payable and/or accounts receivable related duties for the company and related entities as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all transactions.
  • Prepare and processes accounting transactions for managed entities on a daily basis. 
  • Organizes data for the preparation of taxes and surcharge filings.
  • Make appropriate payments and files accurate returns and reports by the due date.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Prepares assigned journal entries monthly for posting into general ledger.
  • Complete month-end close tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Cross-train and provide backup support on other accounting functions for both 702 and other managed entities.
  • Assists CFO with the processing and research related to monthly financial results.
  • Prepares work papers and supporting documents in preparation for annual financial audit.
  • Assists during annual audit process through ongoing support and interaction with auditors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience in one or more of: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger responsibilities.
  • Ability to understand and embrace 702’s core values, company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of standard accounting principles, practices and procedures.
  • Self-starter able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Results driven with ability to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work well within a team and across departments.
  • Strong skills in operating computers, various software packages and general office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate well with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Currently hold or able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
