The Mainstay Suites in Fargo is looking for a dynamic experienced individual in hotels that wants a future in the hospitality industry.
ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in overseeing hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, occupancy, and guest satisfaction
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of department heads and staff members
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of quality, cleanliness, and maintenance
- Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and optimize expenses
- Foster strong relationships with guests, vendors, and local partners
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- 3 + years of hotel experience, preferably as a Leader, Trainer and/or Department Head
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and customer service
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in hotel management software
- Must have weekend availability. This position is structured for Wednesday-Sunday work weeks.
