Job Requirements

  1. Session Operation: The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the operation of our public and private sessions, ensuring all aspects run smoothly: opening and closing tasks, admission, birthday parties, on-rink activities, customer safety, and others. This position is primarily nights and weekends.
  2. Supporting Staff: The Assistant Manager is the first contact point for staff. This includes problem solving during session and guiding staff to high-priority areas. The Assistant Manager also oversees the opening and closing tasks for crew members to ensure the rink stays in its best shape for session.
  3. Customer Engagement: It is our goal that our customers have the best experience possible at our rink. It is the duty of the Assistant Manager to engage with customers, create a positive energy for our employees, and uphold high standards of customer service.
  4. Miscellaneous Rink Duties: Many tasks go into the operation of the rink. It is essential that all lights, games, DJ booth equipment, furniture, and skates be in good condition. It is the role of the Assistant Manager to help ensure and enforce these standards.

Qualifications

Experience

  1. High school diploma required.
  2. 2-3 years customer service experience preferred.
  3. Management or supervisory experience preferred.

Additional Skillset

  1. Problem Solving: Challenges present themselves daily, it's necessary to be able to troubleshoot efficiently and identify solutions in a timely manner.
  2. Leadership: The Assistant Manager needs to support and guide our staff during session. This means directing staff to high priority areas and ensuring they feel equipped to complete their duties. Our Assistant Manager will help ensure that all opening and closing tasks are completed as well. In addition, our ideal candidate will need to confidently navigate policy questions from customers and be comfortable making decisions in this setting as well.
  3. People Skills: It is imperative that our customers have the best experience possible within our rink. Our ideal candidate will have a natural ability to engage with others, ensuring their needs are met in a friendly and helpful way.
  4. Flexibility: There are many miscellaneous tasks that come up within the operation and maintenance, requiring flexibility to step in where needed to keep our facility in its best operating condition.
  5. Marketing: Learning and promoting all the upcoming events as well as helping the Marketing Director with various tasks.

Experience is not required in these areas as we are willing to train, but an ability to learn and think on your feet is desired. We are seeking an outgoing and friendly individual to help lead our team. Pay may vary based on experience and skillsets.
