Job Description
A Bakery Production Associate for our Hugo’s Central Bakery location in North Grand Forks is an essential member of the bakery team responsible for the production and preparation of various baked goods. Their primary role is to assist in the creation of bakery products, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure that production runs smoothly.
Job Summary:
Central Bakey Packager:
- 6am-2:30pm shift
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be reliable
- Must be able to read a production sheet
- Will train the right candidate

Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
- Ensure that all baked goods meet quality and appearance standards.
- Check product consistency, taste, and texture to maintain high quality.
- Report any deviations from quality standards to the supervisor or manager.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Clean and sanitize baking equipment after use.
- Assist in routine equipment maintenance and report any issues.
Inventory and Stocking:
- Assist in keeping track of ingredient inventory levels.
- Notify the supervisor when ingredients need to be reordered.
- Help with the organization and storage of ingredients and finished products.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other bakery team members, including bakers and pastry chefs.
- Communicate effectively and assist in coordinating production schedules.
- Collaborate on special orders and projects as needed.
Adherence to Safety and Food Regulations:
- Follow all safety guidelines and food handling regulations.
- Use protective gear, such as gloves and hairnets, as required.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not always required.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects if necessary.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as bakery production demands.
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Specialized training or culinary education may be an advantage but is not always necessary for this role.
