As a Controls Designer at Direct Design and Fabrication, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our automated production lines, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and modify control systems and schematics for manufacturing equipment.
- Create detailed electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design drawings using design software.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems into production processes.
- Collaborate with technicians and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the commissioning and start-up of new equipment.
- Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on control system functionality and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in control system technology.
- Continuously improve existing control systems to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Designer or a related role.
- An associates degree in a controls technician degree field.
- Strong proficiency in electrical design software and CAD tools.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, such as NEC and UL.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
