Hugo’s Family Marketplace has immediate opportunities for Part Time Dorothy’s Treats Associates at our DeMers Ave. location.

As a Dorothy's Treats Associate, you'll be an integral part of our team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and delivering delicious treats to our patrons. You'll contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that customers have a delightful experience while enjoying our fresh cookies, popcorn, candy, and Caribou Coffee beverages. Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

1. Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
2. Assist customers in selecting treats, offering recommendations, and providing information about our products.
3. Handle customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

Food Preparation and Presentation:

1. Prepare and package cookies, popcorn, and treats according to established recipes and quality standards.
2. Ensure that all treats are presented attractively and maintained in fresh condition throughout the day.
3. Brew Caribou Coffee beverages to order, ensuring accuracy and quality in every cup.

Sales and Cash Handling:

1. Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
2. Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with care and attention to detail.
3. Maintain an organized cash register area, including counting cash drawers and reconciling sales at the end of each shift.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:

1. Keep the store and serving areas clean, sanitized, and well-maintained at all times.
2. Monitor inventory levels of treats and ingredients, restocking as needed.
3. Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

1. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
2. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding any customer feedback, operational issues, or inventory needs.
3. Assist in other duties as assigned, such as organizing displays, participating in promotional events, or assisting with special orders.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not required.
2. Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Basic math skills for handling transactions and cash handling.
6. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. A passion for food and a genuine desire to create positive experiences for customers.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
2. Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and potentially allergenic ingredients.
3. Capable of bending, stooping, and reaching to perform various tasks.
