The Secretary of State's office is currently seeking an
Elections Communication and Education Coordinator to serve as a key member of the Election Team. This position plays a vital role in overseeing public education efforts, coordinating communication related to elections, and supporting election administration. The Coordinator will also be cross-trained in election operations to provide assistance as needed. This position begins July 1, 2025.
Primary Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary point of contact for election-related public inquiries, including media requests.
- Develop and maintain election-related public education materials, website content, and informational resources.
- Plan and coordinate SOS County Auditor workshops, webinar trainings, and voter outreach initiatives.
- Assist in managing social media and external communications related to election processes and voter education.
- Oversee publication updates, including election manuals and guides.
- Assist with special projects or assignments as needed.
- Record meeting minutes as needed.
- Support records management and public records requests.
- Other duties as assigned.

- The ability to handle difficult interactions over the phone and in person with patience and understanding.
Knowledge of:- Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and other desktop tools.
- Social media and digital communication platforms.
- Public information and outreach strategies (preferred but not required).
This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.
