Job Description
The KSRQ Host/Producer coordinates and conducts live morning radio programming consisting of news, weather, prerecorded features, interviews, and triple-A/Americana music. This position also produces and distributes programming that meets the criteria of KSRQ’s Legacy Amendment Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund grant. The overarching goal of this programming is to build a sense of regional community through public broadcasting.
- Produce and host programming on Pioneer 90.1
- Collaborate on Daily Operations of KSRQ
Research, produce, host, and promote KSRQ’s arts and cultural programming
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 Year degree in communications or related field and/or 2 years related experience
- Ability to maintain professional radio environment and product while balancing learning requirements of beginning broadcasters
- Knowledge and experience in programming, production, sales, and managerial aspects of radiobroadcasting
- Working knowledge of radio engineering
- Exceptionally strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient time and project management skills
Human relations and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Americana/Triple-A music
Awareness of issues and happenings in NW Minnesota/NE North Dakota
