Job Description
SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for the people, equipment and processes used in operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with the Manufacturing Supervisor and business operations to develop a production schedule that satisfies current and future demand
Develop processes and standard operating procedures to ensure products are made to quality standards
Build and maintain productivity standards for each item produced
Create a maintenance schedule and secure the necessary parts to keep equipment running with minimal down time.
Utilize ERP system to maintain accurate inventory
Work closely with Procurement Specialist to ensure adequate inventory levels are on hand for production and direct part sales
Assist in the design of new products and the improvement of current products
Analyze processes for cost savings opportunities
Create ergonomic work stations and work centers that facilitate an efficient and safe manufacturing process
Evaluate and research new equipment and its return on investment to increase profitability
Create, follow and enforce safety standards
Create and update bill of materials and job routers for each product produced
Assist sales staff as needed to ensure customer satisfaction

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Engineering degree from a 4 year college or work experience that satisfies the essential functions
Minimum 2 years work experience preferred. Agriculture background not required but basic knowledge is preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
MATHEMATIC ABILITY:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Internet Software, and be highly comfortable working on a computer on a daily basis.

No Certifications needed; Valid Driver’s License
