ND State Parks – Natural Resource Technician
Full-time/Part-time (20-40 hours/week)
Salary $15 - $18 per hour depending on qualifications

Are you passionate about the outdoors and committed to preserving the natural beauty of our state parks? Join the North Dakota Parks & Recreation team as a Natural Resource Technician! In this role, you will be essential in maintaining the health of our park ecosystems through tree and shrub maintenance, planting, herbicide application, and record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tree and shrub maintenance, including pruning and health assessments.
Participate in tree planting initiatives to enhance park landscapes.
Apply herbicides to manage invasive species and promote native vegetation, maintaining accurate spraying records.
Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws and sprayers safely and effectively.
Travel frequently for overnight assignments to various state parks, adapting to diverse working environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Coursework or studies in natural resource management, agriculture, or a related field.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment, including chainsaws and sprayers.
Willingness to obtain a commercial applicator's pesticide certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience using ATVs.
Valid driver’s license.
