North Central Utility (NCU) is looking for a self-motivated and results driven Parts Route Sales Representative, to represent NCU in the heavy-duty truck & trailer parts industry.
North Central Utility is one of the largest semi-trailer dealerships in the nation and the largest in the North Central region with 10 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. We offer reefer, dry van and flatbed trailers from Utility Trailer Manufacturing at all locations and vocational trailers from MAC Trailers in Wisconsin - we sell new and used semi-trailers. With Moore Space, we offer temporary storage container solutions as well. Our parts department has an extensive inventory in Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. Our broad product line and geographic coverage ensures we are a “One Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts. Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. No job is too big or too small for our skilled service technicians.
This position is a safety sensitive position, requiring pre-employment and post-accident drug testing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain an accurate list of Customer Accounts assigned to your territory
• Call on your assigned Customers on a regular and scheduled basis
• Make 3 cold calls per month on potential Customers
• Act as Account Ambassador for customer accounts
• Develop and leverage relationships with key decision makers
• Educate Fleet customers on the features and benefits of our products and the value to their operation
• Educate retail customers on merchandising by sharing data and analytics on sales volume, seasonal profits, and promotions to maximize their sales revenue
• Increase sales volume through promotional activity
• Suggest items of value to build customer loyalty and identify opportunities for incremental sales volume
• Share samples of new product(s) with our customer base, selling the features and benefits
• Create impactful action plans and develop strategies to close sales gaps
• Accurate and timely completion of sales data and reports
• Keep Company provided vehicle clean and maintained
• Participate in Trade Shows and Customer functions
• Answer phones, front and back counter sales as needed
• Assist with warehouse, physical inventory and other departmental duties as needed
• Assist Manager as needed
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Driver’s License in good standing
• Previous retail sales experience preferred
• Strong computer skills
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency
• Proficient with technology and comfortable using a company iPad or tablet
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, squat repetitively and for long periods of time
• Ability to repetitively push/pull and/or lift/carry at least 50 pounds
Responsibilities:
