JOB TITLE: Shipping and Receiving Associate
REPORTS TO: Operations Specialist
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Receive incoming goods from suppliers and ship out bound goods to customers will adhering to company operating procedures and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition, checking against purchase orders or invoices.
Prepare shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling to prevent damage or misplacement.
Verify and record all incoming and outgoing items in the appropriate system.
Assist in loading and unloading items from trucks or containers, using appropriate equipment or machinery.
Conduct inventory counts and maintain inventory records.
Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
Perform shipping and inventory tasks within ERP/MRP software system
Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping or receiving issues or delays.
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
Adhere to all safety standards and guidelines during shipping and receiving operations.
Assist in other warehouse or production tasks as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Agriculture background not required but basic knowledge is preferred. ERP/MRP experience preferred. Forklift certification or experience preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
MATHEMATIC ABILITY:
Ability to calculate basic mathematics such as adding, subtracting and multiplication
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should be highly comfortable working on a computer on a daily basis.
