Job Description
Pay: $18.00 to $25.00 Based on experience
Shift: 6am- 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 6am-10am Friday
POSITION SUMMARY: Sets up and operates the Vertical Machining Center (VMC) to produce precision parts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (includes essential job functions):
- Set up VMC with existing programs.
- Make offset adjustments during operation.
- Perform quality checks of VMC using measuring tools.
- Read prints and job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions.
- Perform preventative maintenance per schedule. Report to supervisor.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
- Must have VMC or CNC experience
- Must be proficient in the use of measuring tools
- Metal fabrication experience required
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, detail oriented production and manufacturing environment
- Must be proficient in print reading
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Good interplant customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must have strong math and metric conversion skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
- May be required to climb ladders or work in overhead areas.
- Employee is required to walk throughout the facility during the course of the workday.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to pull and/or push up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
- May be required to bend forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
